This site is a different approach to making teens aware of the dangers to
driving. Some people may wonder about my tactics, but they are to grab teens
attention, so we can convey to them an important message. Everyone "tells"
teens to be careful - we hope to convince them. We use video's, not to entertain,
but to make them aware of the dangers and how quickly, a wrong decision,
could cost them their life. We will use true stories and real life experiences.
We can tell them why, but odds are, they are more apt to remember others
mistakes, and hopefully, not make the same one.
How can you help?
Family and friends - Submit photo's. You will hear a picture is worth a thousand
words - and when it comes to remembering someone lost, this is especially
true. A photo is reality - the reality of loss. Sharing your loss could save
another teen from making a similar mistake.
Police - this webmaster is reviewing the possibility of starting a "Scared
Straight" type program for Southwest Missouri teen's called "Operation
Stop". This would involve "hands-on" learning methods, including showing
live demonstrtations, video, and photo's of car accidents to Missouri teens.
Obviously, this will have to be approached very carefully, and respectfully
out of consideration to victims and their families, but if you have any
suggestions or case studies to assist in such a program, please contact the
webmaster.
Non Profit Group - any interested parties in the formation of a non profit
group in the Springfield, Missouri area, devoted to teenage driving education,
thru in school assembly's, as suggested above, documentaries, media public
service announcements, or literature publication. If interested, please contact
the webmaster.
Business - this site needs a corporate sponsor. If you are interested, please
contact the webmaster. |

This site is dedicated to all the teens who have died
on the highways and roads of Missouri and especially 17 year old Mandy Hampton
of Ava, 19 year old Richard Maberry of Strafford, and 36 year old Debra Moseley
of Marshfield, Missouri. All, among others, lost their lives in Webster and
neighboring counties in teen driving crashes in 2005. I did not know any
of them, but their deaths motivated me to start this site. |
